Late last month, a number of photos surfaced claiming to show the back panel of the new iPhone, complete with a metal panel and then black or white sections on the top and bottom of the rear. Now a new video has been posted by parts supplier ETrade Supply showing the same back piece. The part looks similar to the ones we saw last month and, when compared to an iPhone 4, the new rear is a bit taller than Apple's existing handset. The video also shows the panel with a smaller SIM card tray and offers another look at the new placement of the headphone jack and smaller dock connector port.
While this video doesn't really show any major new details about the purported back for the new iPhone, it does offer one of the clearest looks at the part that we've gotten yet. Of course, only Tim Cook and Co. know whether or not this actually is the back panel for the next iPhone, and with a release rumored to be scheduled for the fall, it might be a while before we know the answer for sure. At least we'll likely continue to have leaks like these to keep us busy until then. What do you all make of this purported new iPhone part? Do you like the new look?
