The HTC EVO 4G LTE was originally supposed to launch on May 18th, but due to a delay involving U.S. Customs, the device's debut had to be pushed back. It looks like HTC and Sprint's latest will finally be making its way into customers' hands soon, though, as Sprint has announced that it plans to begin shipping out the EVO 4G LTE to pre-order customers with deliveries happening "on or around Thursday, May 24th." Customers that pre-ordered will receive an email with tracking information when their device ships. As for folks that didn't pre-order, Sprint says that it'll share information on a national launch "as soon as possible."
While it's a bummer that the Customs delay caused would-be EVO 4G LTE owners to miss out on spending the past weekend playing with the new phone, the good news is that folks that pre-ordered will be getting their EVOs less than a week after the handset's original launch date. Here's to hoping that now that pre-orders will soon be going out, a full launch isn't too far off. How many of you have placed a pre-order for the EVO 4G LTE?
