The launch of the HTC EVO 4G LTE has been a hot topic ever since we learned that shipments of both it and the One X have been delayed for review by U.S. Customs. So far Sprint and HTC haven't offered up any information as to when the EVO 4G LTE will be hitting shelves, but today Best Buy has begun sending out emails with a new potential release date to customers that've pre-ordered the device. As you can see above, Best Buy believes that the EVO 4G LTE will be launching on May 23rd, which is next Wednesday.
While we'll hold off on celebrating too much until we get official word from Sprint or HTC on the EVO 4G LTE's release, those two companies have been fairly quiet about the phone's availability so far, so it's nice to hear something thanks to this Best Buy email. It's also worth noting that this isn't the first time we've seen a Best Buy email leak the launch date of an upcoming HTC phone, as an email from back in March outed the One X's release as happening on May 6th. Now we go back to waiting to get an update on the situation from either Sprint or HTC. If the EVO 4G LTE is indeed due to land on the 23rd, here's to hoping that it's not long before we hear more. How many of you have pre-ordered an HTC EVO 4G LTE?
