Remember back in March when Samsung said that the Galaxy Note's upgrade to Ice Cream Sandwich would be coming in the second quarter? It looks like the company has stuck to its word, as some owners of the international Galaxy Note (GT-N7000) have begun receiving an update to Android 4.0. The update also brings with it a "Premium Suite" that includes new S Pen-related softwate. The ICS update came to Devin Balentina's (@blue13x on Twitter) Note in The Netherlands over the air this morning, and the upgrade is also said to be available to German users. The upgrade is build XXLPY and weighs in at 318MB.
If you've got an international Galaxy Note and haven't yet gotten the ICS bump, it may be worth your time to grab your phone and check for an OTA update or plug it into your computer and boot up Samsung's Kies software to see if there's anything waiting for you there. As for AT&T Note users, your wait for Google's latest dessert continues. AT&T has said that its Note will be bumped up to Android 4.0, but so far the carrier hasn't mentioned exactly when that upgrade will happen outside of a vague "in the coming months" window. If you've got an AT&T Note (or an international Note that has yet to receive the ICS update) and need something to help pass the time until the Android 4.0 upgrade arrives, you can find Samsung's video demo of the Premium Suite below for your viewing pleasure.
