HTC has already taken the wraps off of a trio of new smartphones in the One X, One S and One V this year, and now a newly-leaked press render has given us an early peek at another Android handset that the company is cooking up. That device up there is codenamed the HTC Golf, although the folks at Pocketnow claim that it could be known as the HTC Wildfire C when it launches, which is reportedly sometime before this quarter is up.
Featuring a body that looks a bit like a shrunken One X, the face of the Golf is said to include a 3.5-inch 480x320 touchscreen and front camera, and there's also a 5-megapixel shooter around back. Under the hood is 4GB internal storage, 512MB RAM and a single-core processor clocked below 1GHz. We're also told to expect a micro SD slot, Beats Audio and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich beneath Sense 4.
With features like that, the Golf likely won't have the spec hounds drooling, but the previous entries in the Wildfire line have served as nice entry-level Android handsets, and this model looks like it'll continue that trend. Plus, it's always good to see more devices coming to market with Ice Cream Sandwich preloaded. Stay tuned for more availability details on the Golf as we get them.
