Ready to have a few numbers thrown at you on this fine Monday night? Good, because Google has updated its Android version distribution chart for the two-week period ending on April 2nd, aka today. Google's latest dessert saw some growth from last month's figures, with Android 4.0-4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich now present on 2.9 percent of devices that accessed the Market Play Store. Moving on down the line we've got Android 3.0-3.2 Honeycomb holding steady at 3.3 percent. Android 2.3-2.3.7 Gingerbread is still far and away the leader of the pack, growing from 62 percent last month to 63.7 this period, while Android 2.2 Froyo finished the period on 23.1 percent of devices. Rounding out the dessert tray is Android 2.1 Eclair at 6 percent, Android 1.6 Donut at 0.7 percent and Android 1.5 Cupcake finishing with a 0.3 percent share.
Overall this month's lineup doesn't look much different than last month's, but the good news is that Ice Cream Sandwich grew 1.3 percent from the previous period, which compares to 0.6 percent growth that it saw in March. That growth should continue in the next month or so as manufacturers push ICS to more devices, which'll include the HTC Rezound and Motorola DROID RAZR/DROID RAZR MAXX if a recent leak holds true.
