The first week of our new segment, Featured User Reviews, is completed as we highlight the Nokia Lumia 800 this Sunday.

November 11, 2011 -- The Nokia Lumia 800 is Nokia's comeback phone as you probably know. It leaves the old Symbian OS behind and runs the beautiful Windows Phone 7 (Mango). Earlier this year, Nokia and microsoft signed a partnership and this is Nokia's first windows phone. No Nokia before the N9 and this had a processor faster than around 0.6 GHz. But this machine s powered by a 1.4GHz processor. We're yet to see some dual core phones from Nokia. The design of the Nokia Lumia 800 is beautiful and very original. Probably the best design ever seen in a mobile device. It's almost exactly the same as the N9's design with some tiny adjustments, a dedicated camera button, a slightly smaller screen (3.7 diagonally) to make room for the windows capacitive buttons and no front facing camera. The performance of this thing is very good. No complaints about lag or hanging. Though there are a lot of phones with dual-core processors, speeds ranging from 1 to 1.5 GHz, no windows phone has a dual-core processor.
The Nokia Lumia 800 is powered by a 1.4GHz processor which, frankly, is all one needs. It also has a decent 512mb of RAM and a good battery life. The user experience in the Nokia Lumia 800 is great. Windows Phone is a great, simple and beautiful OS which really doesn't get anywhere near as much praise and recognition as it deserves. It comes preloaded with some Nokia Apps including Noikia Drive, Nokia Maps, and Nokia Music. Also, a great feature of windows phone is that you can carry out one conversation over multiple messaging services including Facebook Chat, SMS, MSN Messenger, and more. Overall, i think that the Lumia 800 is a great device except for one missing feature. A front facing camera. I'd choose this over any of the Android monster phones out there if it had one. Otherwise it's great, and i highly recommend it if you dont want a front facing camera.
