Remember that Motorola XOOM Wi-Fi update that we first got wind of last week? At the time, it wasn't clear exactly what kinds of changes the new software contained since Motorola was just alerting users about the start of the update's soak test, but now the company has shed some more light on the upgrade in an email sent to XOOM owners. The update is version IMM76 and will bump users to Android 4.0.4. XOOMers can also expect a handful of software enhancements, including improvements to the camera and image quality, quicker screen rotation and better stability.
Sounds like a nice update, doesn't it, XOOM owners? It's good to see the Wi-Fi-only XOOM continue to get love from Motorola, and I'm sure that owners of the 10.1-inch slate are looking forward to moving up to Android 4.0.4. If you've got a XOOM Wi-Fi laying around, be sure to check it to see if the IMM76 update has made its way to your neck of the woods. You can find the email from Motorola detailing the upgrade down below.
