Over the weekend, a rumor concerning the Samsung Galaxy S III emerged, claiming that the still-unannounced device will pack a 4.8-inch display and a ceramic backside. Now more of the devices purported specs have hit the Web courtesy of a report from BGR. The site still says that the Galaxy S III will come with a 4.8-inch screen, adding that it'll have a resolution of 1080p and a 16:9 aspect ratio. The GSIII rear camera will reportedly be of the 8-megapixel variety, and there is also said to be a 2-megapixel shooter around front. We're also told by BGR to expect a 1.5GHz quad-core Exynos processor, 4G LTE connectivity and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
It's worth noting that these specs are still very much a rumor at this point, meaning you should probably take a few grains of your favorite salt with this batch of leaked information. That said, Samsung is likely working to pack as many high-end components as it can fit into the Galaxy S III, and several of the features mentioned today could very well make it into Samsung's upcoming flagship handset. Samsung has said that it expects to show the Galaxy S II successor at an event in the first half of this year, but outside of that the company has kept mum on the device.
