Verizon to introduce double 4G LTE data and DROID RAZR buy one, get one free deals

Looks like the arrival of the Motorola DROID 4 won't be the only thing going down at Verizon on February 10th. The carrier has confirmed to Phone Scoop that, starting this Friday, it'll be bringing back its double 4G LTE data promotion that we first saw last year. The promo will give customers subscribing to a 4G data plan double the amount of allotted data than normal every month, meaning that customers that sign up for the $30 2GB plan will actually receive 4GB of data for no extra charge. Both new customers and existing subscribers upgrading from a 3G smartphone to a 4G handset will be eligible for the double data deal.

Verizon also revealed that it plans to offer a buy one, get one free deal for the DROID RAZR and DROID RAZR MAXX. The promo will allow customers that buy either handset to pick up a second RAZR or RAZR MAXX for free on contract.

Sounds like Verizon's got a pretty big Friday, no? It's nice to see the double data promotion making a return, as having more data available each month is always a good thing now that unlimited plans are dead and gone (save for those of us that clutching onto a grandfathered plan, of course). The RAZR BOGO offer looks like it'll be a nice compliment to that double data promo as well, especially since it includes the new RAZR MAXX and its capacious battery. Anyone planning on taking Verizon up on either deal?
