Last night we were treated to a set photos of a prototype Sony Ericsson Windows Phone device that, according to reports, has actually been canceled. Today another unannounced Sony Ericsson device is making the rounds, but there's major difference between this one and the one from yesterday (besides the OS change): this new one will most likely see the light of day. The Android phone in the image above is reportedly known as the Sony Ericsson ST25i Kumquat and, as you probably noticed, it features an illuminated strip similar to its Xperia S brother. Spec-wise, the Kumquat is said to be packing a 3.5-inch 854x480 touchscreen as well as a 5-megapixel camera. There's also a 1GHz dual-core processor reportedly tucked inside the ST25i's body.
Like the LG X3 that cropped up earlier today, the ST25i Kumquat's release date is still a bit of a mystery. However, also like the X3, it's thought that the Kumquat may be introduced at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona next month. We'll pass along more details as we get them. Until then, what do you all make of the small light-up strip at the bottom of the Kumquat and Xperia S? Do you dig it or do you think it'd get on your nerves?
