Remember that Sony Ericsson Windows Phone prototype that we told you about earlier this week? It's back again today, as the folks at NokiaWP have shared several more photos of the mystery device. This time the shots are of much higher quality, showing the handset from several different angles and exposing its sliding QWERTY keyboard. After getting a good look at the device in these shots, however, many folks think that this isn't a new device. Instead, it's believed that it's actually the same prototype that we got a peek at early last year, which is said to have ultimately been canceled. The presence of the pre-Mango Windows Phone boot logo as well as the device's old Internet Explorer and Xbox Live tiles seemingly back the claim that we're looking at an outdated model.
As nice as it is to get another look at this Sony Ericsson slider, we can't help but be a little bummed at the same time since the phone is unlikely to ever make it onto store shelves. After all, it's been a while since we've seen a new QWERTY-packin' Windows Phone handset come to market, and I'm sure that there are more than a few folks out there that'd be interested in this SE-made device simply because it's got a physical keyboard. I suppose we'll just have to make do with these leaked shots until another Windows Phone with a hardware QWERTY surfaces. You can find more photos at the NokiaWP link below.
