LG last night added another Android-powered tablet to its roster with the introduction of the Optimus Pad LTE. As you could probably guess from the name, this new device packs built-in 4G LTE connectivity, making it the first tablet from LG to tout that feature. The display that owners of the Optimus Pad LTE will be staring at is of the 8.9-inch IPS True HD variety and has a resolution of 1280x768. Other specs for the Optimus Pad LTE include a 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm processor, 8-megapixel rear camera, 2-megapixel front camera, and a 6,800mAh battery in a package that measures 9.34mm thick. Expect Android 3.2 Honeycomb to be loaded onto the Optimus Pad LTE out of the box. LG has made no mention of when or if it expects to upgrade the slate to Android 4.0.
So when might you be able to get a crack at one? Well, folks in Korea will get the first chance to pick up an Optimus Pad LTE as it'll initially be launching there. There's no word from LG about when other other parts of the world will be able to pick up the company's shiny new slate, but we'll let you know more as we get it.
