The Samsung Galaxy Nexus has been pretty well-received since it burst onto the scene last year, bringing with it a large HD display and the latest and greatest version of Android known as Ice Cream Sandwich. Not all is peachy keen in Nexus Land, though, as a growing thread on Google's official help forum shows that many Galaxy Nexus owners are seeing their device reboot randomly. The reports claim that the reboots occur while using different parts of the phone, such as listening to music or adding events to the calendar. Other users say that the phone will restart while just sitting idle. The issue seems to be affecting both GSM and CDMA models.
As for a fix, a Google employee has suggested a couple of things to try and fix the reboot issue, such as deleting certain apps or simply getting a replacement phone. He adds that Google is continuing to look into the problem. It's definitely kind of a disappointment to hear that some Galaxy Nexus folk are running into random reboots on their shiny new toy, but hey, at least those users can take solace in the fact that El Goog is working to get the bug squashed. Have any of you GalNex owners had your handset reboot out of nowhere?
