Own an HTC EVO 3D? Love updates? Then today's your lucky day, my friend, because Sprint has announced that a software update is being made available to the EVO 3D starting today. The new software is version number 2.17.651.5 and is a smaller maintenance update that contains the following enhancements:
- Updated Peep client (to align with Twitter)
- Battery life improvements
- Security update
Sounds good! Sprint says that notifications for the 2.17.651.5 update will begin being sent out on January 17th, but if you'd rather not wait you can go ahead and try to manually initiate the update process by going to Menu > Settings > System updates > HTC software update > Check now.
