Well, this is interesting. What you see up above is an ad claiming that the LTE Samsung Galaxy Nexus, which is currently only available on Verizon here in the U.S., is also headed for Sprint. The ad is currently appearing over on CNET, but considering that, you know, Sprint hasn't actually announced that it plans to offer the Galaxy Nexus, this ad has likely gone up a tad prematurely. Clicking on those yellow buttons in the ad will make some of the device's specs appear, which include 4.65-inch HD Super AMOLED display and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Interestingly, the ad claims that this Sprint Galaxy Nexus includes a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, which is a full 300MHz higher than the 1.2GHz processor found in the GSM and Verizon versions of the device.

This isn't the first time that we've heard rumblings about the possibility of a Sprint Galaxy Nexus, but it's definitely the most credible leak we've seen to date. The timing of the ad is also nice, as this afternoon Sprint announced the first four markets that it'll launch its 4G LTE network in by the middle of 2012. The Galaxy Nexus may not be quite as fresh then as it is now, but I'm willing to bet that more than a few folks would still be interested in picking one of these up suckers up at that point. We've yet to hear from either Samsung or Sprint on this situation, but will update you if and when they say something. As for when we might hear more about this Sprint Galaxy Nexus? This little shindig known as CES is going down in Vegas next week, and that seems like as good a place as any to spill the beans on a handset like this one.
