Hot on the heels of news that HTC and Samsung are prepping LTE-capable Windows Phones, a new report has emerged with details on a Nokia-made device with the same flavor of 4G connectivity. According to Paul Thurrott of WinSuperSite, Nokia's device is currently known as "Ace" that'll feature LTE support and will be revealed at CES next month. As for when the Ace might actually come to market, the report claims that we can expect it to hit AT&T's shelves on March 18th.
In addition to dropping knowledge on the Ace, Thurrott also mentions the aforementioned HTC and Samsung LTE Windows Phone offerings, confirming their codenames and adding that they'll also be making their debut at CES in January. The Radiant and Mandel are also reportedly due for AT&T, but the only release information currently available on the two devices are that they'll be coming sometime before the middle of 2012.
Finally, we've got something for all of the Verizon folk out there. Thurrott claims that the (non-LTE) Nokia Lumia 710 is headed for Verizon's shelves and will be available starting in April 2012. There's no word on when an LTE-capable Windows Phone device may make its way to Big Red.
Sounds pretty good for all of you AT&T folk, right? AT&T said last year that it plans to be the "premier" carrier for Windows Phone devices, and by the look of this rumor, it seems like that's a commitment that's still going strong. As for Verizon, it's kind of interesting to hear that the carrier may offer a 3G-only Windows Phone after saying that 4G was a feature that the platform needed if it wanted continued support from Big Red. Exactly why Verizon would launch a non-4G Windows Phone after that statement is a mystery — perhaps it wanted a slice of the Nokia Windows Phone excitement? — but at least fans of the OS on Verizon have another device to look forward to.
