And just like that, AT&T's deal is complete. Nope, not that one! AT&T today announced that it's officially concluded its purchase of 700MHz spectrum from Qualcomm, an agreement that we first learned of a little over a year ago. The deal will give AT&T 700MHz spectrum licenses that cover 300 million people in exchange for around $1.9 billion. AT&T plans to use the spectrum to beef up its 4G LTE network.
This purchase may not be the one that AT&T had really had its eye on, but hey, more spectrum is always a good thing. For those of you interested, we've got the full (and brief) press release announcing the deal's completion below.
