Looks like U.S. Cellular has decided to give owners of the Samsung Galaxy Tab on its network a tasty treat as we head into the weekend. An update to Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread is now available for the U.S. Cellular Galaxy Tab, bringing with it goodies like security patches and improved power management. The update is build number EJ06 and weighs in at 220MB. As usual, we've got the full list of changes ready and waiting for you down below.
Certainly Gingerbread isn't quite the same as Honeycomb, but when you consider that the U.S. Cellular Galaxy Tab launched a year ago with Android 2.2 Froyo, I'd say that a bump up to Android 2.3.5 is worth getting excited about. If you're a Galaxy Tab owner on U.S. Cellular that wants to get in on this update goodness, you can find step-by-step instructions right here. Just don't forget to come back and let us know how everything's working for you when you're all done, ok?
