Heads up, Motorola Xoom owners: Moto has begun sending out emails to members of its Motorola Feedback Network letting them know that there's a "project" currently underway for the 10.1-inch slate. However, as with similar emails we've seen in the past, there's no mention of precisely what this mysterious project entails. The pertinent portion of the email from Moto is as follows:
"Thanks for joining the Motorola Feedback Network. We are preparing a project for owners of the Motorola Xoom on Verizon, and would like to invite you to participate. Click this link to take a short enrollment survey for this project. Please note that you must be a member in good standing of the Motorola Owners' Forums to take part."
So what might Motorola have in store for the Xoom? We've seen several of these "projects" turn out to be nothing more than basic maintenance and security updates, so it's possible that that's all that this update will turn out to be too. Of course, Moto has said that the Xoom will eventually be bumped up to Ice Cream Sandwich, so there's certainly a chance that this project may contain a tasty treat. To avoid being let down, you Xoomers out there should probably hope for the latter but expect the former. We'll let you know more when we get it.
