Verizon adds more markets to December 15th 4G LTE expansion [UPDATED]

Earlier this month Verizon announced that its next 4G LTE expansion will be taking place on December 15th, but at the time the carrier only named a few of the markets that'll be a part of the fun. Today we've got another handful to add to the list, as Big Red has revealed another batch of cities that'll be welcomed into its 4G family in less than a month. The newly-announced markets are:

  • Dover, Del.
  • Savannah, Ga., including areas such as Skidaway, Whitemarsh, Wilmington and Tybee Islands, Garden City, Rincon, Springfield, Guyton, Pembroke, Richmond Hill, Midway, and Hinesville. (Expansion)
  • Fitchburg, Mass., including the towns of Leominster, Lunenburg, and Townsend.
  • Greater Manchester and Nashua, N.H., which includes Bedford, Goffstown, Hudson, Litchfield, Loudon, Manchester, Manchester-Boston Regional Airport, Merrimack, Nashua, and Pelham.
  • Poughkeepsie, N.Y., which includes areas like Clintondale, Fishkill, Hyde Park, Kingston, New Paltz, Plattekill, Red Hook, Rhinebeck, Saugerties, Wappingers Falls, and along the I-87 corridor.

That brings us up to six different markets that'll be a part of Verizon's December 15th expansion. Verizon has been known to spread out its 4G LTE announcements, as evidenced by the fact that today we're getting three more new cities almost two weeks after the first batch of markets, so there may still be more areas added before December 15th finally rolls around. We'll keep our ears to the ground and let you know if we hear more.

UPDATE: Verizon's announced some more markets that'll be getting in on its 4G LTE action when the calendar shows December 15th. The list above has been updated with the new areas.
