AT&T recently introduced an LTE-enabled version of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 that's due out this Sunday for $479.99 on contract, but a newly-discovered FCC filing has revealed that the carrier may also have another, slightly smaller, tablet in the pipeline. The profile of the device you see above belongs to the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus, which recently passed through the FCC with support for the same 850MHz/1900MHz bands used by AT&T for 3G here in the U.S. (No LTE on this one.) For reference, this new Tab 7.0 Plus features the model number GT-P6200, which is very close to the model number belonging to the Wi-Fi-only Tab 7.0 Plus (GT-P6210).
As a quick refresher, the Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus is packing a 7-inch 1024x600 LCD display, 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 3-megapixel camera, 720p video capture, 2-megapixel shooter around front, 1GB RAM, 16/32GB storage, 4,000mAh battery, and Android 3.2 beneath Samsung's custom TouchWiz overlay. No word yet on when or if the Tab 7.0 Plus will be making its way to AT&T's shelves, but hey, at least those of you that are in the market for a tablet but passing on AT&T's Tab 8.9 can take solace in knowing that another option might soon be presenting itself.
