Over the past week or so, renders and spec details of two rumored HTC handsets — the Edge and Zeta — have made their way online. Today we've got another quad-core HTC device for you to ogle, but this time around the star of the leak is of the tablet variety. The device you see above is reportedly dubbed the HTC Quattro (get it?) and, according to a source speaking to Pocketnow, it's packing the same quad-core Tegra 3 chip found in the Edge as well as a 10.1-inch 1280x768 display. Other rumored specs include a 2-megapixel rear camera with HD video capture, 1.3-megapixel front-facing shooter with 720p video, 1GB RAM, 16GB built-in storage, microSD slot, Beats audio, Bluetooth 4.0, and a body that measures less than 9mm thick. The Quattro is said to be coming in both Wi-Fi-only and Wi-Fi + 3G variants. On the software side of things, the slate will allegedly come with an HD version of the HTC Watch movie store and an improved HTC Scribe experience.
So when might you be able to get your mitts on the quad-core Quattro? The slate is reportedly expected to arrive sometime in early 2012, meaning that we could get a peek at the Quattro at CES in January or at MWC a month later. That's still kind of far off, but if the Quattro follows in the leaky footsteps of HTC's previous Android-powered tablets, we should be hearing more about the quad-core device sooner rather than later. Stay tuned.
