Motorola DROID Pro, DROID 2 Global Gingerbread updates now rolling out

Hot on the heels of news that Symbian Anna is now available for Nokia phones in the U.S., the update fun continues for some DROID owners on Verizon. The folks at Big Red have confirmed that Android 2.3 Gingerbread is now being rolled out over the air to both the Motorola DROID Pro and DROID 2 Global. Last week we told you that the D2G's update had already begun, but now we know that the DROID Pro is getting a taste of Gingerbread of its own (and according to some of our commenters, has been for a while now). Upon installation of the updates, users of both devices can expect to find Motorola's new blue UI, bug fixes galore, and all of the new features that come with Android 2.3. You can find the full changelog for the DROID Pro here and the DROID 2 Global here.

Do you happen to have a still-Gingerbreadless the DROID Pro or DROID 2 Global in your vicinity? These updates are usually rolled out in waves and can take some time to reach everyone, but if you're not the patient type, you can always try to pull the new software manually by going to Menu > Settings > About phone > System updates. As always, we'd love to hear which device you've got and how the Android 2.3 update is treating you once it's installed. The comments section awaits!
