RIM has announced quite a few new BlackBerry 7-powered smartphones so far this year, ranging from the entry-level Curve 9350/9360/9370 up to the Bold 9900/9930. It looks like folks in Waterloo aren't done introducing new 'Berrys in 2011 just yet, though, as RIM has outed another pair of BB7 handsets on its official Inside BlackBerry Developer's Blog. On the low-end of things we've got the BlackBerry 9380, a device with a 3.2-inch 480x360 (189 ppi) display that we've seen leak a couple of times in the past as the Curve Touch 9380. The second handset is the BlackBerry 9790, which features a 2.44-inch 480x360 (244 ppi) touchscreen along with a physical QWERTY keyboard. If that all sounds familiar, it should, because this handset has leaked out in the past, too.
Other details on this pair of new BlackBerrys are sparse since RIM's intent here was to help developers prep for the arrival of the devices, not to officially introduce them to the public. That said, the fact that RIM has told its devs to prepare for 9380 and 9790 suggests that the two handsets can't be too far off, especially considering that BlackBerry DevCon is going down in San Francisco this week. We'll pass along more details on the pair as we get them, 'Berry-heads.
