It's been a while since Virgin Mobile customers have had a new Android phone with a physical QWERTY keyboard to fawn over, but a new page over on the Best Buy website shows that that could well be changing soon. The big-box retailer has posted up a product page showing the LG Optimus Slider for Virgin Mobile in all its landscape sliding glory. There's a $199.99 price tag accompanying the images of the Slider on Best Buy's site, but what's missing are the all-important launch details. Spec-wise, we're looking at a device with a 3.2-inch touchscreen, 3-megapixel camera, and Android 2.3 Gingerbread. Check out another shot of the LG Optimus Slider below.
The Optimus Slider may not quite stack up to the current king of the Virgin Mobile hill — the Motorola Triumph — in the specs department, but the LG-made device is still a welcome addition to Virgin since the only other QWERTY-fied Android phone on the carrier's roster is the aging Samsung Intercept. Now the wait for Virgin Mobile to officially announce the Optimus Slider and give us some release info begins.
