Branded as the Xperia Play 4G, this PlayStation-certified (and HSPA+ compatible) handset will be hitting AT&T shelves on September 18th for $49.99. Most of the specs found on the Verizon model that launched earlier this year are also found on the AT&T model, including a 4-inch 854x480 display, 1GHz processor, 5-megapixel camera, and Android 2.3.3. However, AT&T users will also have the option of picking up the Xperia Play 4G in an exclusive "stealth blue" color scheme, and the device will also come packaged with a Sony Ericsson Multimedia Dock and music cable. The Xperia Play 4G may not be the freshest Android phone on the block when it arrives on AT&T later this month, but it should still be a good option for folks that view their smartphone as a gaming device first and a phone second.
