Time to wind down your Thursday with a good old-fashioned mystery! A new Android device called the LG Marquee has been spotted in a video posted on the official Radio Shack blog, which is cool and all, but the problem is that there's no mention of the device or any kind of details about it. What's worse is that the Marquee is only visible for a couple of seconds. The only thing that we can gather from the short peek in the video is that the Marquee is running a stock-looking version of Android 2.3.
So what might the Marquee be? The folks at Android Central think that it could be Sprint's version of the LG Optimus Black. As they point out, the shape of the Marquee looks pretty similar to the Optimus Black. Another clue is the set of buttons on the left side of the Marquee, which seem to line up with the ones found on the Optimus Black. Check out a shot of the Optimus Black below for comparison.
We've heard a couple of rumblings about the Optimus Black possibly making its way to Sprint in the past, and an LG device with the model number LS855 — a number that some believe belongs Sprint's Optimus Black — was once spotted on a leaked roadmap with an October 2nd launch date. Additionally, the LS855 was the only LG product on that particular roadmap, lending further credence to the possibility that the Marquee could indeed be the Optimus Black.
