Last month we saw a mysterious Motorola Android handset leak out with an AT&T logo and 8-megapixel camera, and many thought that the device could be an Atrix 4G successor. Not much else is known about the handset, which features the MB865 model number, but today a newly-leaked AT&T screenshot may have revealed one interesting new feature of the device: LTE. As you can see up above, models of the MB865 that are currently undergoing field testing have been spotted inside AT&T's internal systems. The source of the image claims that most of the phone numbers belonging to these test devices have area codes from places where AT&T is planning its initial LTE rollout. "[The MB865] is definitely an LTE device since it has been provisioned with an LTE tracking code in the billing system," says the tipster.

Earlier this year, AT&T confirmed that it would be launching its LTE network sometime this summer in Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Houston and San Antonio, with plans to cover another "10 or more markets" by the end of 2011. It also said that it plans to have 20 4G devices in its lineup this year and that some would be LTE-enabled, but it's not yet clear how many of those will be LTE handsets. It's worth mentioning that Motorola CEO Sanjay Jha last week said that the company was planning to release another LTE smartphone this year. The exec didn't go into details about the product, so it's possible that the MB865 could be the LTE phone that Jha was referring to. What do you all make of all these leaks?
