It doesn't look like those rumored negotiations between Samsung and Apple are going anywhere, but that doesn't mean that HTC isn't willing to try talking things out with the Cupertino-based firm. Speaking with Bloomberg, HTC CFO Winston Yung said that his company would like to try and negotiate a solution in its battle with Apple rather than continue to duke it out in the courtroom. "“We have to sit down and figure it out,” Yung said. "We are open to all sorts of solutions, as long as the solution and the terms are fair and reasonable," the exec explained, saying that HTC and Apple have had on and off discussions with Apple.
This news comes on the heels of an International Trade Commission judge's ruling that HTC is infringing on two Apple patents included in a complaint filed to the ITC. Obviously it's not yet clear when or if a deal between HTC and Apple will be reached or what the terms of such an agreement would be, but it'd definitely be nice to see the two companies work things out with their words. After all, we don't really need a repeat of the back and forth that's currently going on between Samsung and Apple.
