Sprint's version of the Samsung Galaxy S II, reportedly named the Galaxy Within, has been the subject of a couple of rumors in the past, but we've yet to see any actual photos of the device emerge. That changes today, as the folks at This is my next have just posted a pair of photos of the Sprint GSII/Within lounging around in the wild. As you can see in the photo above, the handset features a textured back similar to the unlocked Galaxy S II as well as an 8-megapixel camera and a nice Sprint tattoo above the Samsung logo. The source of the photos claims that the device is also packing Android 2.3.4, but other details on the Sprint GSII/Within are still in the air.
There's still been no concrete evidence showing when Sprint is planning to release its flavor of the Galaxy S II, but previous reports have claimed that it could arrive sometime in Q3, possibly as soon as later this month. As anyone with more than two minutes of experience in the mobile world knows, though, it's probably not wise to put all of your faith in a release date until said date is made official by the carrier/manufacturer. So, you know, don't go throwing away your current handset just yet.
