HTC Kingdom stops into the FCC on its way to Sprint

Sprint's HTC Kingdom has eluded the spotlight for the better part of a month now, but today the Android-powered device is back in the headlines thanks to an appearance in our favorite government agency. The Kingdom was just spotted getting the A-OK from the FCC under the moniker "PH44100" with a WiMAX radio in tow. There's still no word on when it'll be landing on Sprint's shelves, but at least we know that it's now one step closer toward achieving that ultimate goal.

For those that need a refresher, the HTC Kingdom is said to be packing a 4-inch 540x960 qHD display, 1.2GHz single-core Qualcomm MSM7630 processor, 5-megapixel camera with 720p video capture, 1.3-megapixel front-facing shooter, 768MB RAM, global roaming capabilities, and Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread. Obviously some of the those specs aren't quite as high-end as the HTC EVO 3D's, but the Kingdom is shaping up to be a nice handset for anyone interested in a slightly smaller, strictly 2D device. We'll definitely be keeping our ears to the ground for more info on the Kingdom, so stay tuned!
