Despite the fact that the HP TouchPad was unveiled all the way back in February, we're about to enter June without so much as a peep about an official launch date for the webOS tablet. Luckily, the folks at PreCentral were just handed an official TouchPad "QuickSpecs" document that may have revealed the slate's launch date. HP distributes these docs to business customers and resellers to help them get up to speed with the company's products, and the sheets often include a launch date at the bottom of the pages. So what date is at the bottom of the TouchPad's QuickSpecs sheet? June 12th.
As always, we need to point out that release dates can and do change. That said, this isn't the first, second, or even third time that we've heard that the TouchPad will be launching in June, so barring some sort of last-minute catastrophe, it looks like the device will be coming sometime next month. If June 12th is indeed the day, we should be hearing official word from HP soon, so stay tuned!
