Late Friday night, we learned that ASUS is planning to unveil an Android phone/tablet docking combo called the Padfone next week at Computex. As is often the case with unreleased devices, though, the images of the Padfone have leaked out ahead of ASUS's big event. The images show that the handset will actually dock inside of the tablet, and a hole in the back of the slate will allow the phone's camera to be used while docked. There's no word on what kind of specs either device is packing, but all should be revealed tomorrow when ASUS makes the Padfone official.

Although there's still a lot we don't know about the Padfone right now, like exactly how the two devices will work together when docked, the concept is still pretty interesting. If ASUS can get the Padfone combo out sometime in the near future and slap a reasonable price tag on it, the company could have a compelling product that stands out in the ever-growing Android tablet market.
