There have already been a couple of rumblings about an Amazon-branded Android tablet in the past, but today a new rumor is claiming that the company has even more up its sleeve. According to a source speaking with Boy Genius Report, Amazon is currently hard at work on a dual-core Tegra 2 tablet codenamed "Coyote" as well as a beefier quad-core "Hollywood" slate that features NVIDIA's Kal-El processor. Both devices are tentatively set to launch before the end of the year. There's not much more info available on either device right now, but this rumor does add credence to a previous report claiming that Amazon's planning an entire "family" of Android devices, which could include a smartphone as well as some tablets that may come in a variety of sizes.
Amazon's been pretty big on Android as of late, first launching the Amazon Appstore for Android and then following that with the Android-friendly Amazon Cloud Player. Considering all of this, as well as the company's place in the market, it wouldn't be a huge surprise to see it release some of its own Android-powered products. The question is, how many of you would buy an Android phone or tablet from Amazon?
