There's been a lot of speculation as to exactly which dessert would be given the honor of being the "I" version of Android, but today we may finally be able to put the matter to rest. Known Googler RomainGuy recently posted a response to an issue on the Android support forum which said that a bug fix for the problem in question "will be provided in Ice Cream Sandwich."
This certainly isn't the first time that the Ice Cream Sandwich name has been mentioned, but it is the closest we've come to an official confirmation from Google itself. Unfortunately, there's still no word on exactly when we can expect ICS to land, but we could learn more when Google I/O kicks off beginning on May 10th. Stay tuned!
