The white iPhone 4 is likely arriving sometime in the next couple of weeks, but a new video posted by Vietnamese site Tinhte claims to not only show off the official frosty white iPhone, but a new "test version" of iOS 5 as well. As I'm sure that any regular user of iOS has learned by now, the multitasking menu in this alleged version of iOS 5 is very different from the one found on devices in the wild now, with a screenshot being used to represent each open app, as opposed to the current method which just shows the app's icon. After opening up the multitasking menu, a user can either tap the app to open it or tap and hold to put it into "wiggle mode" to kill it. Additionally, it seems as though Spotlight has been moved from its usual spot to the left of the first home screen, as it's now accessible by clicking the "Search iPhone" box at the top of the multitasking menu. Check out the full clip for yourself below.
Of course, as I'm sure many of you have been thinking to yourself the entire time that you've been reading this article, it is possible that this is all just the result of a jailbroken device. It is worth noting, however, that the site has been the source of a few legit Apple leaks in the past, so this could very well be the world's first peek at a new version of iOS. The appearance of several "test" apps like Radar and AppleNetworkDiagnostics certainly suggests the latter, but without a peek at the phone's "About" screen, it's tough to say with 100 percent certainty whether or not this is the real deal. What do you all think? Well-done jailbreak or legitimate version of iOS 5?
UPDATE: Another video has been posted which shows that the device is a prototype iPhone with 64GB of storage and a new implementation of Folders. At around the 1:33 mark, you can see that the OS version is 4, suggesting that this could just be a beta version of iOS 4. The second video is embedded below.
