So far, we've heard two different leaked launch dates for the T-Mobile G2x: April 15th and April 20th. So which is correct? Well, both are, is seems. T-Mobile just confirmed on its Twitter account that the G2x will be available online beginning April 15th, with in-store availability coming five days later on April 20th. Once the dual-core device does arrive, you can expect to pay $199.99 with a two-year contract and $50 mail-in rebate if you plan on taking it home with you.
If you're more interested in having a physical QWERTY keyboard on your new smartphone, T-Mo affirmed that the Sidekick 4G will be landing on April 20th, as well. The Sidekick may have a slightly smaller display than the G2x, but its $99.99 on-contract price is smaller, too.
Some of us were expecting the G2x to come in at $249.99 since the G2 and myTouch 4G had their total cost raised to that price point recently, but it's good to see that T-Mo set the G2x's price tag at the seemingly standard $199.99 contract price. If you'd rather have the G2 or myTouch, though, don't fret. After perusing T-Mobile's website, we've learned that those two handsets are now priced at $199.99 with a $50 mail-in rebate, too. So, now that we've gotten all of the official details on the G2x and Sidekick 4G, who's getting which phone?
