Amazon is already dipping its toes in the Android water with an app store for the platform, but a new rumor suggests that they're planning to make an even bigger splash. Lab126, the company responsible for working on the Kindle, has been hiring a number of Android developers as of late, leading some to believe that Amazon could be planning some sort of Android-powered Kindle/tablet.
It's possible that Amazon is just adding devs to work on other Android devices or software, but considering the popularity of Android tablets and the fact that Barnes & Noble already has an Android-powered eReader, it could make sense for Amazon to create a similar product. What do you all make of the situation? Would an Android Kindle/tablet be a good move for Amazon?
