A couple of days ago, we told you about a new Nokia handset, referred to as either the C7 or Tiger, that would be hitting T-Mobile's shelves at some point on the future. Today we've got more info on that particular handset for you courtesy of, who else, TmoNews. According to their sources, the C7 will be launching as the Astound on Wednesday, April 6th, for $79.99 with a two-year contract and mail-in rebate. Additionally, it's being rumored that there will be four more Symbian-powered handsets launching on T-Mo this year, proving that the OS isn't dead just yet.
While I wouldn't mind see the Astound's price even lower than $80, say $50 or maybe even free, on contract, that's not a bad price for a new smartphone with a 3.5-inch AMOLED display and 8 megapixel camera with 720p video capture. Of course, if the G2x and G-Slate end up launching two weeks later, the Astound won't be getting much time in the limelight regardless of what it's priced at. It's being rumored that Nokia will formally announce the Astound at its CTIA event next week, so stay tuned.
