Rumors of Apple working on a smaller iPad are nothing new, with the majority of the reports claiming that the company has a 7-inch tablet in the works. That may be the case, but according to SuperApple.cz and two of their sources, the folks in Cupertino have an even smaller tablet in the works. The site claims that Apple is busy testing a couple of different tablets, one with a screen size at 5.7 inches and another that's just a hair under 6 inches.
It's not unreasonable to think that Apple could be testing slates of varying sizes somewhere deep in their headquarters, but whether or not they ever end up releasing a smaller tablet is tough to say. After all, Steve Jobs famously said that 7-inch tablets are "useless unless you include sandpaper so users can sand their fingers down to a quarter of their size." If Apple feels that they can put together a smaller tablet in a way that it would sell, though, I'm sure that they wouldn't hesitate to release one and call it "magical" and "revolutionary." What do you all think of this latest round of mini iPad rumors?
