If you were a little underwhelmed by HTC's new 4G devices, the ThunderBolt and Inspire, you probably wouldn't be in the minority. If a new HTC-related rumor is true, though, a device codenamed Pyramid could be the high-end handset you've been waiting for. The folks from TmoNews and Android and Me have put together some of the pieces of this Pyramid, which includes a 4.3-inch qHD (960x540) display, 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm MSM8260 processor, and the ability to access T-Mobile's 4G network. When can we expect this dual-core monster? TmoNews believes that it'll land some time late in the second quarter or 2011.
While the ThunderBolt isn't at all a bad device, those users that need the highest-end specs available may end up flocking to the DROID Bionic or Atrix 4G. With the news that the Pyramid is on the horizon, though, those users may end up holding off to see what HTC and T-Mo can come together to offer, and I wouldn't blame them if they did. Then again, as we've seen with Android's Law, there may be something even better from another manufacturer around the corner, so perhaps it'd be a better idea to buy now. What do you all think?
