Just about every manufacturer in the land is launching a tablet some time in the near future, and now it looks like Nokia may be joining in on the fun soon, too. The device you're staring at is allegedly a Nokia tablet-style device running MeeGo which has been making the rounds over at the mobile-review forums. Some are speculating that there's a 4.5-inch display on-board but, beyond that, there's next to no information available about this product. Heck, we don't even know if this thing'll ever actually make it to market. Still, the photos are pretty intriguing.
If it wasn't evident before, all of the tablets on display at CES should show that the large-screen, full-touch devices are going to be one of the next big things in mobile. We've got Android devices like the XOOM and G-Slate coming soon as well as a second iPad and a webOS tablet from HP. With all of these other companies launching tablets, Nokia would be crazy not to launch one of their own. I just hope that they can push one out soon, because most of their competitors will have a tablet on the market within the next few months, and the tablet party isn't one that you want to be fashionably late to.
