Earlier we learned that Samsung's Vibrant would finally, finally be upgraded to Android 2.2 beginning tomorrow, January 21st. Considering how eager all of the Galaxy S users have been to get Froyo, I'm sure that Fascinate, Captivate, and Epic owners are wondering when they'll get the same treatment as their T-Mo brother. Sprint came forward today to address the questions of Epic owners, but they didn't really give us any indication as to when the update is actually going to arrive. The carrier tweeted that they're "working closely" with Samsung to create a smooth update experience and that they'll release the update as soon as it meets "rigorous testing criteria." At least they're communicating with us, right?
Now that the Vibrant is getting Android 2.2 tomorrow and U.S. Cellular's Mesmerize is following soon, it stands to reason that the other Galaxy S phones will be getting their own taste of Froyo soon. And while it's true that these updates are long overdue (the first Galaxy S variant came out in June 2010), I'm sure that once you get it installed on your handset of choice, it'll all be worth it. In the mean time, we can speculate about the other handsets' upgrades. Which order do you think the final Galaxy S phones will be upgraded to Froyo?
