Earlier we heard that the Dell Streak 7 could arrive on T-Mobile's shelves as soon as February 2nd, but now it looks like it won't be the only 4G device hitting Magenta next month. The cats over at TmoNews have gotten their hands on a T-Mobile email showing that the Samsung Vibrant 4G has a tentative launch date of February 23rd. No word on pricing, but don't be shocked if the Vibrant 4G is sporting a "$199.99" sticker when it arrives.
The Vibrant 4G may be one of the most controversial handsets in recent memory, but if you're not a current Vibrant owner and want to get in on the Galaxy S Froyo fun before just about everyone else, this new model looks like a great choice. Heck, if you do have a Vibrant and really want Android 2.2, you could even try to sell your device and move to a Vibrant 4G. If you haven't been turned off Samsung entirely thanks to the upgrade mess, that is. So, anyone planning to pick up a Vibrant 4G?
UPDATE: And now the Vibrant 4G has seemingly been spotted in the wild, running stock Gingerbread, no less. Don't expect it to come to market like that, though, as Samsung is reportedly working on a TouchWiz skin to lay over Android 2.3. The source of the photo described the device as "smooth" and "stupid fast."
