Rumor: Android-powered INQ Cloud Touch is a Facebook phone

There were rumblings of a Facebook phone way back in September 2010, and now it looks like that very device may have just appeared on the Bluetooth Special Interest Group website.  Earlier last year, we heard reports that INQ and Facebook were teaming up to create a handset with deep Facebook integration, full QWERTY keyboard, and touchscreen.  Today a phone named the INQ Cloud Touch got certification, and its description sounds like a good fit for a Facebook phone.  There's also one other piece of juicy info revealed in the statement: Android is on board.

"INQ Cloud Touch is an Android smartphone built to make messaging faster and smarter. It’s designed around the way people naturally communicate and has Facebook built into its core. The homescreen features multiple entry points to different Facebook functions, while a dynamic widget displays a feed of status updates, albums, videos and photos."

Considering that there are now over 600 million users on Facebook, I'm sure that more than a few users that would jump at the chance to buy a handset with extremely deep integration with the social networking site.  If it ends up running Android, too, well that'd just be icing on the cake.  It's important to remember, though, that CEO Mark Zuckerberg has shot down rumors of a Facebook phone in the past.  Was he simply trying to throw us off, or is an Android-powered Facebook phone really on the horizon?
