It wasn't long ago that Samsung announced that they'd sold a little over 9 million of their popular Galaxy S handsets, and now another milestone has been broken.  Today the No. 1 Android provider confirmed that it has sold over 10 million Galaxy S phones in just under 7 months.  North America was the biggest market for Sammy, claiming 4 million of the total number of devices sold, while Europe and Asia followed closely with 2.5 million sold and 2 million sold, respectively.  Now, about that Froyo update...

Considering that Samsung has a Galaxy S handset on just about every major carrier in both the U.S. and Canada, it shouldn't come as a surprise that the company managed to move so many of their devices in 2010.  Usually manufacturers only launch a particular phone on one or two carriers at the most, so it'd be nice if other companies, after seeing the success that Samsung's had, follow their lead and release high-end handsets on multiple networks.  After all, wouldn't it be nice to have the option of getting the hot new phone that everyone is raving about on your own carrier rather than having to switch?
