Back in October, Best Buy had a promotion called "Free Phone Fridays" where they offered four free phones, one from each carrier, every Friday in the month. Best Buy is in the free phone mood once again, but this time you don't have to wait around for Friday to get yourself a new smartphone on the cheap. Every day in December, Best Buy Mobile will be offering at least four free smartphones per day, one for each carrier, in all its stores and online, as well. Examples of the devices that will be on offer include the HTC DROID Incredible, Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10, LG Optimus S, and LG Optimus T. Best Buy's Free Phone Fridays promotion back in October was pretty awesome, and I'm glad to see that the company has made things even better with this new promotion. The only downside is that there are no messaging phones available for those of us that aren't ready to commit to a smartphone and data plan every month. That could also be a good thing, though, since you'll be able to get a free smartphone no matter what carrier you're on. There seems to be a good mix of new and old, high-end and entry-level here, so are any of you going to bite?

Based on the overwhelming success and customer feedback from the Free Phone Fridays campaign in October, Best Buy will feature FREE smart phones every day during the remainder of the holiday shopping season. Examples of smart phones featured include:

"We were excited by the amount of consumer interest we received around our 'Free Phone Fridays' promotion in October, so we wanted to do it again only bigger," said Shawn Score, president of Best Buy Mobile. "People want smart phones and we couldn't think of a better way to end the year for our customers than to offer free devices every day in December."
The free phones require new or upgrade activation with two-year agreement and minimum quantities will vary by store. There are no price matches and the offer is not valid on prior purchases.
