DROID 2 and Incredible drop to $149.99 to make way for their successors

Ever since we learned of the DROID 2 Global's existence, rumors have been swirling about just what would happen to the still-young DROID 2 upon its globetrotting successor's arrival.  Many thought that the D2 would be discontinued, but now it looks like it'll live on at a cheaper price point.  Going to Verizon's website, one can see that the DROID 2's price has been reduced to $149.99 with a two year contract and $100 mail-in rebate, and an image leaked to Engadget shows that it'll stay at that price point until the end of January.  The photo also shows that the DROID X will cost $199.99 through the end of December, so don't expect any hot holiday deals on Motorola's 4.3-inch monster.  Finally, the DROID Incredible got a price cut of its own today, setting customers back $149.99 just like the DROID 2.

I always thought that it would be strange to see Motorola and Verizon discontinue the DROID 2 after only being on the market for a few months, but a price cut makes a lot of sense.  After all, not everyone needs the world-roaming capabilities that the DROID 2 Global bring to the table, and now they'll get a nice discount on the regular DROID 2 because of it.  Many believe that the Incredible's price drop is also the signal of an upcoming new handset, this time the Incredible HD.  We've heard that that device could arrive as soon as November 23rd, and this lower price on the Incredible definitely adds credence to that rumor.  So, readers, which of these two new Android phone on Verizon are you most looking forward to?  The DROID 2 Global or the Incredible HD?
