Bad news for those of you light data users planning to switch to T-Mobile's 200MB data plan on November 3rd: it looks like the carrier has decided to delay introduction of the new data tier. According to an image sent to our friends at TmoNews, the new $10/200MB data plan has been "temporarily delayed" by T-Mobile, and there is currently no new release date. T-Mo is planning to communicate the new release date to its employees in "early November," so we should be hearing more in the next few weeks.
This is definitely disappointing news for T-Mobile customers, especially with the impending release of the myTouch 4G. I'm not completely sure why T-Mo would all of a sudden decide to delay the plan, but maybe it had something to do with problems entering the new information into their systems? Since it is just a new add-on and not a phone or something like that, hopefully we'll be able to add the 200MB data option some time in mid to late November. Until then, I suppose we still have the myTouch 4G launch to look forward to, right?
